Sri Sorna Anjaneya Swamy Temple was established in 2002 with the divine blessings of Lord Hanuman. Since its founding, the temple has been a sacred place where devotees gather to offer prayers, seek blessings, and participate in spiritual activities.

Temple Location

Sri Sorna Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located in Thirupanipettai, on the Kumbakonam–Mayiladuthurai Main Road, to the east of the famous Sri Mahalingeswarar Temple at Thiruvidaimaruthur, in Thanjavur District, Tamil Nadu.

Thiruvidaimaruthur is situated in the historic Chola Nadu region on the southern bank of the River Kaveri, making this area one of great spiritual and cultural significance.

The temple is easily accessible to devotees travelling from Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, and nearby towns.

The temple conducts daily poojas and special religious ceremonies with great devotion. Every visitor is welcomed with love and respect, irrespective of their background.

One of the most significant annual celebrations is Hanuman Jayanthi, which is observed with special abhishekams, alankarams, bhajans, and annadhanam. On this auspicious occasion, Sri Sita Rama Thirukalyana Utsavam is also celebrated, making the festival spiritually enriching for all devotees.
